Terresita L. Johnson College Scholarship

The Terresita L. Johnson College Scholarship was created by Unique Sports Management in partnership with The Joseph Toles Foundation. Its purpose is to help students achieve their educational goals and support the youth and community as well.

Terresita was a woman who loved life deeply and had strong faith in God. She was a devoted follower of Jesus and tried to live according to His teachings. She hoped to get a college degree, but her battle with Leukemia became a setback. Nonetheless, she remained optimistic and positive, never allowing her illness to dampen her spirit.

Throughout her life, Terrisita was known for her kindness and compassion towards others. She had a natural ability to uplift those around her and give comfort to those in need. Her smile had a radiant quality and could light up any room she entered. Many regarded her as an angel sent from God because her presence brought joy and peace to those she encountered.

Terresita lived her life to the fullest, spreading love and kindness with unwavering faith and a positive attitude. She inspired others, and the Memorial Scholarship in her name is the legacy that lives on to help inspire those pursuing a college education. Her selflessness and devotion will always be remembered.

The scholarship in her name includes financial support, mentoring, and mental health advisement for our recipients' entire educational journey, as Terresita would never let anyone walk alone.

2023 Long Island College Scholarship Gala
NEW YORK SEPTEMBER 08, 2023
Our sincere thanks to all who came out, last Friday, to donate and celebrate our 2nd Annual Long Island Scholarship Gala at the Fox Hollow in Woodbury, New York. Some of the local scholarship awardees made a special appearance to thank the contributors and speak on how the funding, mentoring, and counseling has been invaluable to achieving their college goals. It was a premier evening filled with student highlights, dancing, dining, good music, recognition awards, raffles and a silent auction which all proceeds go towards another cycle of college scholarship funds for students from Wyandanch, Hempstead and “You Gotta Believe.”
